T. Rex was a band that formed in 1967. I chose this band from the Secret 7 competition because I thought 'Get it on' would be a fun track to design a sleeve for. After researching the band I found many useful facts that I could reflect and represent in my design ideas. Marc Bolan for instance used to wear glitter on his face representing the whole 'Glam Rock' image, he also had an addiction to cocaine which is something else I could use in my experiments. 

The song itself is called 'Get it on (Band A Gong)' and was heavily influenced by Chuck Berry - Little Queenie. The lyrics are initially about the classic sex, drugs, rock & roll attitude of that time, Bang A Gong is supposed to be another phrase for smoking Opium which is another drug related reference I could feature in my work.
